Vermont is a village in Fulton County, Illinois, United States. The population was 792 at the 2000 census. ==History== The village was founded in 1835 by James and Joseph Crail. A post office was established in 1837. The village was named after the state of Vermont. The Vermont Masonic Hall is one of sixteen sites in the village listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
